The water lilies were still blooming at Chicago Botanic Garden in September. The colors appear fitting to autumn’s arrival. From my understanding the purple leaf coloring represent newer leaves as opposed to an announcement of the shorter days ahead.
Could any flower appear more perfectly composed than that white lily? Beautiful little flower.
