Purple buds open to reveal white creamy flowers. The centers grew in size as the flowers reached maturity. Their tropical beauty do grab attention. Copyright 2019 Pamela BreitbergThough I have not been able to identify this beautiful shrub in bloom in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; it is non-the-less strikingly attractive. This shrub was part of the River Walk area known as Esplanade Park. The flowers were toward the end of their blooming time and showing signs of age: browning centers and pronounced formation of seedheads. This older stage of flowering was most beautiful in my eyes.
