My love of butterflies began when I was five years old. My grandfather gave me a net for my birthday and I was off and hunting these beautiful beings. The Monarch butterfly rests on a Purple Coneflower among the prairie grasses in Chicago. This is my latest acrylic painting. I enjoy acrylic painting as well. I tend to be more impressionistic, but at times I attempt the photo look!
