Wild climber…

Native to the Chicago land area is the Climbing Wild Rose (Rosa setigera). These blooms were in Chicago’s Lincoln Park’s Belmont Harbor area. It brought back memories of our home in the northern suburbs adjacent to Cook County Forest Preserve. Several Climbing Wild Roses thrived in the sun alongside our garage. Compared to the traditional high maintenance demands of garden roses the Climbing Wild Rose is a natural beauty, able to survive without constant pampering. Copyright 2020 Pamela Breitberg
