Snowy SoFlo…

Snowbush (Breynia distichia) is not the name of a shrub I would expect to find in Southern Florida, aka SoFlo. Interestingly this plant grows best in subtropical, tropical environments with it’s origins in the Pacific Islands. Elsewhere it is a houseplant or summer annual. Copyright 2021 Pamela Breitberg
Snowbush is colorful all year long; this shrub draws attention in perhaps an otherwise all green landscape. Leaves emerge as dark pink and fade to the mottled shades of pinks, greens and white. The variety of colors and patterns in one plant are incredible. Nature always surprises and amazes. Copyright 2021 Pamela Breitberg
