Lenten Rose (Helleborus orientalis) is appropriately named as it blooms at the end of winter through early spring: during the Lenten season. This shade loving perennial has flowers that seem to humbly tilt downward. The colors of the flowers are subtle so easy to miss when sunlight speckles the scene.
