Global influences… Pamela Breitberg 4 years ago I knew that most Europeans speak English; or enough English that it’s not necessary for visitors to be fluent in their native tongue. But I hadn’t realized the frequent use of English on posters, store signs, and restaurants in Germany and other European countries. They do know how to make a traveler feel welcome. A while ago I posted some images of the Peace Wall in Prague paying tribute to John Lennon. This day I realized that U.S.’s Woodstock festival, now a movie, has also effected Europeans. Of course we have been greatly influenced by “the British Invasion” and other artists and muscians from Europe and around the globe. It is a small world.
