A bit of the garden brought home…

What brings a smile to my face during the day? A colorful bouquet of cut flowers. I enjoy picking flowers from the market that are still mostly buds. This means that I can watch them slowly open to their full glory. For me it is a worthwhile splurge on myself. Copyright 2022 Pamela Breitberg

Living in an apartment and making frequent travels dictate that I no longer tend potted plants indoors. The cut flowers provide a touch of nature that softens and warms any room decor. Occasionaly I splurge on a pot or three of herbs to enhance the room as well as the palate.

Of course adding a rose to a bouquet makes it appear a special treat. Note: the vase was a wedding gift given by my grandmother to my mom’s teacher on her wedding; this teacher, many years later, gave it to me as a wedding gift. Copyright 2022 Pamela Breitberg
