Getting along with each other’s differences…

This large tree in south Florida appears dead but is just dormant this time of year; a deciduous variety that loses its leaves for a season. In a few months it’s bloom prolifically. While it sleeps the Air Plants remain active and lush. Air Plants, unlike Strangler Figs are symbiotic; they do not harm their host plant. Copyright 2024 Pamela Breitberg
Air Plants are Epiphytes meaning they live on another plant without harm to its host. The two have a symbiotic relationship. It amazes me that Air Plants can reach such huge sizes and produce incredible flowers during the year. What if we only needed water and air to survive! Copyright 2024 Pamela Breitberg
