Bath time…

My eyes did not deceive me. This is a Black Egret. They are found worldwide being migratory birds. Flamingo Gardens is a rescue preserve for injured wild animals or those with “human imprinting”  (so they would not survive in the wild). I have yet to see a Black Egret in the wild, so it was a treat to see this one without the benefit of natural camoflauge. Copyright 2024 Pamela Breitberg

My favorite thing about Flamingo Gardens is the wide open spaces for all but the most injured species that reside there.  It would be a true blessing if our rehab centers were so glorious.
