Teeny bloom time…

.12 inches wide, flowers of the Cotoneaster integerrimus are tiny, tiny, tiny. They are the shrubs that surround our condo and this spring their blooms seem more prolific than usual. That said, the flowers are easy to miss because of their size. This Eurasian native has no common name other than Common Cotoneaster! Copyriht 2025 Pamela Breitber
The main attraction for including this shrub in one’s garden is for the densely packed leaves. It makes for a good surrounding wall around a property. Cotoneaster is deciduous, losing its leaves during the cold months. Copyright 2025 Pamela Breitberg
One needs to stop and look closely at the pink spots of the Cotoneaster inteerrimus to see when the flowers are finally in bloom. Copyright 2025 Pamela Breitberg

Why the formal name?

Blossoms may seem unworthy

But grandness comes in all sizes

Indeed you’re special.
