Prairie grass…

Big Blue Stem (Andropogon gerardi) is the starring feature of a midwest Prairie. Reaching up to ten feet tall, they cover the Prairie lands during the summer and autumn months. Roots of Prairie grasses are as deep as the grasses are tall. This assures their resilience and survival from Prairie fires.   Here, one has begun to go to seed. Copyright 2025 Pamela Breitberg
