Sleeping Hibiscus (Malvaviscus) is actually not a Hibiscus but looks similar enough to have gotten this common name. Hah! Aka Turk’s Cap Mallow and Mazapan. The bright red flower of this warm climate shrub is quite appealing. Copyright 2026 Pamela Breitberg
