Another challenge for myself: this setting of a blooming Hydrangea. An apartment building in the neighborhood is warmed by the flowers in its garden spaces. 11″x14″ acrylic. The challenges for me in this piece were to “suggest” the bricks. It’s easy for me to get carried away with rendering details. Also it was a challenge to paint white flowers that easily reflect surrounding colors. Copyright 2026
