While inside the North Carolina Arbortum evidence of springtime in full bloom included these Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis) trees, a native to the Eastern U.S. Not surprising once north in Chicago a few weeks later the Redbud flowers are just beginning to open. Fun to experience several springtime sets of blooms on our travels northward.
