New leaves as red turning green as they age. Copyright 2024 Pamela BreitbergThe cascades of white flowers happen at the same time that new copper-red leaves emerge. Flowers form on the old growth of this shrub. All parts of the shrub are poisonous making it a deer-repellant choice; but its also poisonous to pets and children.
