Stars in the shrub…

The delicate, dangling flowers on this shurb reminded me more of teardrops than bursting stars. This shrub is some variety of Clerodendrum, possibly Clerodendrum quadriloculare. There are over 450 Clerodendrum; so I’m not certain of the exact variety. Winter Starburst is one of its common names. Copyright 2025 Pamela Breitberg
Just lovely with the white flowers surrounded with purple. Looking at the whole shrub, I understand the naming, Winter Starburst, as fitting. The dark purple that surrounds the white blooms enhances the brightness of the white petals. Copyright 2025 Pamela Breitberg

Clear night skies near me

Stars seems to burst open wide

Close enough to hold.
