I opted this year to challenge myself with a still life painting. After finishing my grandson’s portrait I worked on this one that I began as a “lesson” from our teacher this winter. We were to focus on the light and shadows only. Because I paint so few still lifes I challenged myself to finish this exercise and do a complete piece. Another learning for this painter.
