As temperatures rise in the Chicago area, I found out that the shade loving Hardy Begonia (Begonia grandis) tolerates both cold weathers as well as hot summers. Apparently tuberous Begonias do better in extreme temperatures than rex Begonias. Very cool! Copyright 2025 Pamela BreitbergSherbert colored Lantanas are another heat tolerant plant.
