Seeking calm through science and nature…

Stress runs amok right now; this has been a stress filled year around the world. Wallking through Chicago’s Humboldt Park was literally a breath of fresh, crisp air this past week. This morning I researched Alexander Von Humboldt, the park’s namesake. This park, it turns out, unlike other places and tributes around the country undergoing ethical questionings, is named for a naturalist scientist with empathy for indigineous persons. I do not doubt he was without some faults but I’m happy to share this beautiful, peaceful scene as well as a link to some background information on a person deserving of tribute: Humboldt. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_von_Humboldt Copyright 2020 Pamela Breitberg
