Sometimes it’s best to go with the wind…

I remind myself

Many times a day, a week,

To accept what I can’t control.

To accept what I can’t change.

I remind myself to let life flow

To take advantage of winds of change

And use change to move forward.

I remind myself life is richer

When I embrace the flows of my life.

Lifestyle contrasts…

The cats on this quaint street in Miami easily roamed from backyard to sites around the neighborhood. The dog was too large to fit between the fence rails ensuring it’s limited experiences. The differences in their demeanor were striking to me.

Never ending…

Could not help myself. HAD to do two more revisions. Guess one is never satisfied with one’s artwork? My photographs that aren’t perfect lead me to making more photographs. But with painting I have a new option of being able to revise……..which is both great and obsessive. I declare this done now.

Second revision; but didn’t like the super heavy Palm leaf in the center. Also wanted more building showing. Copyright 2018 Pamela Breitberg

Painting with paint instead of light…

Have only painted a few times. This is first piece in over ten years. Opinions welcome. I have four more sessions at the Bonnet House courtyard, the perfect setting as seen in this piece.

Organized, more than less….

Yesterday I upgraded to WordPress’s Business plan only because I desperately wanted to organize my “categories” so they’re arranged more logically. Also I renamed some categories to be more appropriate. Hopefully this is a help for readers.

I realized as I was working that I tend to over categorize posts; so my goal is to limit a post’s categories to  a couple instead of many.  IF ANYONE HAS IDEAS on how to make my blog better, please let me know!! I always welcome your feedback.

I began my blog in 2010 so I suppose every eight years it’s due for cleanup. Sigh. WordPress recommends doing this every year!

FYI: In the business plan you can not only reorder and merge categories but you can take a tag, such as “birds” and turn it into a category!! Great tool. Thank you WordPress.

A creative optimist’s apparition…

Most people see a puddle with a little weedy grass growing out of a crack in the sidewalk/pavement. When I walked past this spot I saw a miniature island paradise complete with sunshine peaking out of a few clouds in blue skies. I am ever the optimist. I look imaginatively at people and things.

Puddle or someone’s paradise? I must get out the microscope; but risk being run over. Copyright 2018 Pamela Breitberg

Deceptive appearance…

With sufficient concealment the Sun’s arrival through the cloud covered sky resembles the Moon. Dense cloud cover allowed me to aim my camera directly at the Sun as it appeared to weave in and out of the rapid moving clouds. Unswerving witness to nature’s forte.
