My last photos of one of the Community Gardens inside Lincoln Park in Chicago, was in early spring. Then, new plantings were beginning to grow. This morning, the plants have reached their seasonal maturity. They are ready for consumption. A neighbor is working to harvst her rewards for tending her plot all summer and fall. These grew outside the fence of the Community Garden, which means they’re accessible and edible by all. Copyright 2025 Pamela BreitbergWorthy, hearty, gardens are enjoyed by insects too. Here a Grasshopper dines. Copyright 2025 Pamela BreitbergThe flowers and leaves of Hollyhocks are treasured by chefs. More of their images tomorrow. Copyright 2025 Pamela Breitberg
