FUN scary night…

I don’t share many “people” images, but thought those not in Chicago might enjoy seeing how one section of Chicago celebrated Halloween last night. Halsted Street’s 22nd Annual Halloween Parade begins with a flash mob doing Thriller. It was a celebratory, unusual warm 50’s, so prime party weather which brought out MANY participants and viewers. This parade is adult oriented; multiple events for children happened over the past weekend. Because sometimes adult need to play!! ALL images copyright 2018 Pamela Beitberg

Have a HAPPY Halloween…

Nature’s variety in design and patterns always intrigues me, in particular this time of year are the many varied creations under the “squash” or “gourd” category. Copyright 2018 Pamela Breitberg

It’s beginning to look like Halloween time…

Pumpkins carved prior to Halloween (October 31st) tend to whither and rot which adds to the creepiness of the carvings. Warmer afternoons aid in the process. Copyright 2018 Pamela Breitberg

Treats for the eyes…

Enjoy these “treats for the eyes” spotted this morning at North Park Village Nature Center. The fawn had wandered off alone and was approaching the bird feeders. Here she is peaking out from one of two Oak trees she hid behind until her curiosity got the better of her. Meanwhile a mother attends her young one. These are the kind of October treats I treasure most.
