The Corvette Museum in southern Indiana has been on our bucket list for awhile. NOT all was so pretty to view though; check out the next two images. The tour was wonderful and finished with lunch in the Corvette Cafe. Copyright 2019 Pamela Breitberg
Located on TOP of a cave, the museum underwent over a million dollar restoration after a massive sinkhole opened up one night a few years back. They have this tape to show visitors the size of the hole. If you didn’t see the news of this 2014 incident CLICK on the image to get more details. Copyright 2019 Pamela Breitberg
Humbling to see. Took only a few minutes for such devastation; wonderfully it happened when the museum was empty of people. The museum has used this sad incident to their advantage; they display all the cars recovered and include a video and 3D animation experience of the sinkhole opening up as part of the tour.
