Nature’s overwintering…

This cocoon of a Fall Webworm (Hyphantria cunea) has chosen to overwinter on the lower side of a large flower pot at the base of Art Hill, which sits at the foot of St. Louis’ Art Museum. Interesting fact: they are one of only a few species that have emmigrated to become pests in other countries!
