My first attempt at an indoor scene, the setting is our favorite little breakfast nook in a corner of our living room. My purpose was to capture the wonderful lighting and mood of this area. I tried to have it look painterly as opposed to becoming a detail specific rendering. Comments are welcome as I continue to hone my skills. I tend to get very focused on details and this time I purposely attempted to focus on mood rather than details. As always, comments are more than welcomed for this life learner. The garden scene is lovely with the light coming in through the trees and lighting up the edges of the steps. On the interior painting be wary of lines going across the scene. They should not slope – unless your floor was put in by the same builder who did my extension.
