March 9, 2020 Pamela Breitberg Summer beauty… My love of butterflies began when I was five years old. My grandfather gave me a net for my birthday and I was off and hunting these beautiful beings. The Monarch butterfly rests on a Purple Coneflower among the prairie grasses in Chicago. This is my latest acrylic painting. I procrastinated beginning this painting; the subject is special for me and I wanted to do it the justice it deserves.
