September 8, 2020 Pamela Breitberg Remembering… Here’s another quick work, reminiscing the simpler times. Each end-of-summer our family would pile into the car and travel several hours into the rural countryside to partake in my mother’s family reunion. My mother’s generation was really the last one to actually know each other, so this September ritual no longer happens sadly. FYI: I’m the one on the right. A 2nd attempt at including persons in my painting. Copyright 2020 Pamela Breitberg Share this:PinterestPrintRedditEmailLinkedInTwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading... Related
The loose, dark brushwork in the background works well and is a good foil for the figures.
Thank you. My intention was to keep everything except my mother very soft, out of focus. I appreciate your feedback.
Oops; wrong image that you were commenting on!!! Yes, I totally kept the background very loose here. It was the first time I included people in a composition so that’s where I focused all my energy. Thanks again!!!
