Here’s another quick work, reminiscing the simpler times. Each end-of-summer our family would pile into the car and travel several hours into the rural countryside to partake in my mother’s family reunion. My mother’s generation was really the last one to actually know each other, so this September ritual no longer happens sadly. FYI: I’m the one on the right. The loose, dark brushwork in the background works well and is a good foil for the figures.
