Multiple ways to grow…

Bougainvillea can grow as a vine, a shrub or even a tree. This popular Sourth American immigrant was growing as a shrub in southern Florida. The brilliant red color comes from the bracts surrounding the small white flowers. Copyright 2021 Pamela Breitberg
On what seems to be the same shrub as the previous image, some of the bracts surrounding the flowers were golden. Apparently this may happen if the original plant was a crossbreed. Both the red and the yellow Bougainvillea is a lovely additon to any garden or pathway. Copyright 2021 Pamela Breitberg
