Saintly or just wild…

Asters bloom wildly in the fall in Chicago; most are purple. This batch along Lake Michigan’s border in Chicago caught my eye for the colors of the scene; gentle shades of white, greyish violets and dusty green with sunlit highlights along the path and wall. This white Aster could logically be what is known elsewhere as Michaelmas Daisy in honor of the Archangel Michael considered by many to be the greatest of all the angels. Read more about September 25th’s Michaelmas and the daisy that represents this event and angel. At the very least enjoy the beauty of the abundant blooms growing wild as a gift to all whom pass and stop to appreciate the late fall beauty. Copyright 2021 Pamela Breitberg
