Six years ago we moved from a home adjoining a piece of Forest Preserve into the heart of the city of Chicago. My only criteria was to be close to someplace “green”. I do miss the deer that used to visit our garden. But Lincoln Park is an incredible haven for both people and wildlife. Walking around the outskirts of the migratory bird sanctuary, through the native woodland area, renews my spirit. It is a place enjoyed by many, but also an easy place to just find quiet solace when needed.
