Red to green to red…

Springtime can yield brilliant red leaves too in the reawakening trees. The Red Maple (acer rubrum) is most known for it’s red leaves in the early autumn. Not to be missed are it’s bright red, freshly emerged leaves in the spring. They do soon turn green for the summer. Throughout the summer any newly formed leaves create attention getting spots of red in the tree. Copyright 2022 Pamela Breitberg
