When spring and early summer perenials have finished blooming, the White Morning Glory (Ipomoea lacunosa) brightens groundcovers and shrubs. Considered a weed by many it is a dependable bloom. The Greek origin, ipomoea, means worm-like based on it’s vining personality. But I prefer to call it Morning Glory referencing the time of day that the blossoms are wide open. Gorgeous!!
For a “weed” it’s not bad!
