This summer so far has seen me redoing two pieces that I was never happy with. This one is a view out my living room window, on a rainy, dark day in Chicago. The first attempt had too many elements; I tried to include every single thing I saw. And then to create a focal point I added a person with a red umbrella. This time I created a simpler, closer view. I’ll let the viewer decide the focal point(s).
