I am not a nut expert. So it’s fun for me to take photographs of tree nuts and later find out what I was observing. Here are Ohio Buckeyes beginning to ripen. Yum; though I don’t pick nuts or fruits in parklands. Other’s fruits and nuts might have pesticides and fertilizers that would not react well inside my body!
