Remembering…

Whenever I see Japanese Anemone (Anemone hupehesis) in bloom I feel nostalgic. They were my favorite end-of-summer/early fall bloom in my perennial garden. Copyright 2023 Pamela Breitberg
Japanese Anemone stand out among other garden blooms; their stems reach up to two feet so that their relatively small flowers get the attention they deserve. Copyright 2023 Pamela Breitberg
I throughly enjoyed them in my garden and I am thrilled “my garden” lives partially in my sister’s southern Tennessee home garden. In her milder climate, however, it proves to be agressive, which is often the case for non-native Eurasian transplant species. Yet Japanese Anemones are beautiful whereever they pop up.
