In the park…

I had the chance to visit the newly refurbished North Pond in Lincoln Park last month. Fresh native plantings surround the newly dredged pond; both projects designed to sustain this natural beauty. Here a bicyclist pauses for a probably well-earned respite. Copyright 2023 Pamela Breitberg
I always look closely at the logs floating in North Pond. Red Earred Slider turtles were basking in the autumn sun this morning bringing back memories of my pair that lived in my science classroom lab. Copyright 2023 Pamela Breitberg

And up on a tree attempting to hide from me is this hard working Brown Squirrel. I interrupted his nut collecting for a few moments. Life sightings around the pond is always its own adventure. Copyright 2023 Pamela Breitberg
