On the side of a fire station in Charleston, S.C. was a little sitting garden that included this Rose bush. The sun lit it naturally, casting slow, dancing shadows on the background wall. Copyright 2023 Pamela BreitbergYou’ve probably heard of aphrodisiac which stimulate sexual desires. This tree, Chaste Tree (Vitex agnus-castus) has a reputation of being an anaphrodisiac. It was sacred to the virginal goddesss Hestia/Vesta. The seeds hang here on the tree in this image, but earlier, the tree held lavender like flowers.
