Florida hosts quite a number of Strangler Figs. These are Epiphytes that begin as a seed resting in a tree, and send multiple roots to the ground eventually strangling the host tree. The tree here has larger leaves than native Strangler Figs.…it is, in spite of its huge size, a False Banyan (Ficus Altissima).
