Tiny but strong tolerance…

This tiny plant is evergreen and not fussy about its needs. Appropriately named Green Carpet (Herniaria glabra) it is a perfect plant for stone covered walkways. It is tolerant of being stepped upon. Green Carpet, aka Rupturewort, has deep taproots, allowing it to be quite draught tolerant. The Rupturewort nickname is due to its old world use to possibly cure prostrate ruptures. I prefer to call it Green Carpet; a proven well-earned name for this plant. Copyright 2024 Pamela Breitberg
