This spread out group of youngsters with chaperones were busy all morning at the Bonnet House in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A variety of natural inquiry investigations kept their minds and bodies actively engaged. People, including young ones, learn best when “doing”; so any new learning happening here would be deeper in their brains than if they were sitting in a classroom somewhere. Inquiry is when the answers are not given to students; its when they must be discovered through observations and trial and errors. So much fun to watch them from across the slough.
