Always fine tuning…

This was what I believed originally worthy of being labeled “done” by myself last month. Not bad, but I knew something was not quite right. I’ve learned from Richard Schmid (an amazing artist and teacher; rip) that to figure out what is wrong is to look at one section at a time to try to see what could be better. Read about him here and see some of his incredible works. Copyright 2024 Pamela Breitberg
Yesterday I fine-tuned the grasses in the foreground, particularly the ones overlooking  the water’s edge. I also darkened the water’s edge on the far side to emphasize the contrast between the sunlit grasses on top of the hill compared to the shadowed muddy water’s edge on the opposite side. What do you think? Am I done? Hah, my family knows better than responding to my oft asked question!  Copyright 2024 Pamela Breitberg
