Chicago is known for many things, but perhaps such wildlife settings are not usually connected to the big city. This is one of several migratory bird sanctuaries inside Lincoln Park: Jarvis Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Two blocks away is a row of highrises and the urban concrete one assumes they’ll see in Chicago. Here, one can wander through the lush Lurie Gardens planted with Prairie natives. Just wondrous. Thank you Chicago to including natural green spaces for both me and wildlife.
