Hybrid showstopper…

Among prairie natives, in Lurie Gardens, Chicago., are these eye-catching Sea Holly, aka Big Blue (Eryngium  x zabelii). They are a hybrid created first in the U.K. in 1997. Prairies are prime habitat for them as they prefer sunny, dry spaces. Copyright 2024 Pamela Breitberg
