For the first time I brought a small, very small, paint set with me to use while traveling. I chose watercolors and ink. The papers are only 4×6″, insuring I don’t get too involved with each piece. No more than an hour on each. Here’s one if a tree hanging precariously over Lake Julian in Asheville. Copyright 2034 Pamela Breitberg Two more images using watercolors only. I’m a new user of watercolors. I am so used to going from dark to light with my acrylics that watercolors’ need to go from light to dark is a real puzzle for my brain. A fun challenge. Perhaps it’s clear the first image above was my third sketch. I had intended to sit out in nature to paint, but so far these were done back in the hotel using the days photos.
