Whenever I walk past this magnificent Tree I have to stop and ponder. How is it possible that this Tree with such a huge injury is able to not only live but thrive? The injury from lightning, winds, or ? is very deep and large. I would expect the Tree to be dead, and yet it is lush in greenery. No mushrooms or other fungus have invaded it. Nature amazes.
