Pansies are a sign of spring. These springtime plant can withstand spouts of cold weather so they’re often the first annual plantings in Chicago. I have seen Pansies through the summer in Chicago while further south, where it’s much warmer, it is only used as a spring bloomer.Taking a more distant look at the planted flowers, one sees two lions on either side of a front porch. Are all welcome? Or is noone welcome except those that reside in this home? Oh, this is all behind a tall fence; so I’ll enjoy my view from the sidewalk. The big city has quite a few beautiful, spacious, old mansions that still reside in-between highrise condos and apartments.
