In the park…

I suppose that my belief that Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis) were southern U.S. natives was due their presence along the highway on my drive north from Florida. I felt spring had arrived in the southern states when I’d see Redbuds in bloom. Now I learn that they are “happy” as far north as Michigan. This explains their blooming presence in Lincoln Park this week. Copyright 2025 Pamela Breitberg
Lincoln Park is littered with Redbuds along the pathways. More springtime beauty. But there’s more to see in Lincoln Park this morning. Copyright 2025 Pamela Breitberg
Surrounded by Redbud trees in bloom are a couple having wedding portraits captured. What a beautiful setting for such a special memory! Copyright 2025 Pamela Breitberg
Meanwhile, along the walkway, a moment (or more) of rest for the weary. It was the perfect day for bridal photography and park naps. Copyright 2025 Pamela Breitberg

  1. I love Redbuds! They brighten up the landscape long before the leaves even come on most of the trees here in Virginia.
