Goldenrod is a favorite feast for Bumble Bee in the autumn. They gather the pollen and nectar to store for their winter survival. It might be more attractive to them. They need to stock up now. Yeah, kind of like Bear; but Bees carry it back to their home instead of dining on it. They do prefer natural sources of energy.
