Pretty nuisance…

Looks can be deceiving; so the saying goes. It is true for Field Bindweed (Conovolvulus arvensis). The morning blooming white flowers mimic the European Morning Glories but Bindweed’s deep root system will smother many native plants in its way. Growing in LIncoln Park along the lakefront paths seems harmless. Copyright 2026 Pamela Breitberg
